We lose our way… from time to time. My hair loses its way… time after time after time, and that is when I head to where the wildflowers grow, because I am one of them. Aren’t we all?

I couldn’t imagine a more perfect salon to have found it’s place in Toledo. When I chance scheduled with Shannon back in 2014, I knew she was my stylist soul mate. Her signature balayage highlights and natural “undone” cuts were everything I wanted and needed. Shannon’s new local business, Wildflower Salon and Shop, is a breath of fresh h’air and an open concept space full of color, unique gems, flowing vintage tapestries… and all the creativity to feel right at home amongst the wildflowers. Even a coffee bar 😉

Of course, I took Penelope there for her first hair cut! It was a memorable and adorable experience ending with lip stick testing and floral crowns. I caught a glimpse of Penelope at 15 for a brief moment as she sat like an angel in the black leather chair… Time is slipping through the soil like a heavy rain storm and my little wildflower is starting to grow up.
